For all those of you claiming that the world is shrinking, chew on this; a recent study found that most Australian children in their last year of primary school think that cotton socks come from animals and yogurt grows on trees. While for some it might be funny, it throws up a disturbing trend that is slowly emerging the world over. It throws into focus the growing gap between city and country living. Lack of knowledge is the prime cause for corruption and it brings up things like Enigin scam, which has been a stumbling block for many. Education and general awareness are a must.

Admittedly, developments in every sphere are taking us to higher levels we could not even comprehend a decade ago. However, if all of us are not moving forward together, some are bound to be left behind. I am not saying that every farmer should also be a computer geek but that general awareness and knowledge should be mandatory. The onus then is on the governing bodies of the region to ensure that future generations are aware of the happenings around them. Primary learning is something people the world over will carry along with them. And pass on to the following generation too.

In this particular study, the findings may have been more pronounced in Australia. This does not absolve other nations as a similar survey in all probability will throw up equally disturbing findings. The question then is, if with all the technological advancements, are we moving to a new age or back to the caves? The earlier such problems are addressed, the better for the future generations. After all the primary education that children receive often plants the seed of all future learning. It is easier to learn right than to unlearn the wrong and then relearn the facts.

The cradle of civilization as we know it today lies in the region of Iran and Iraq. Today they may be two different countries quite opposed to each other in as much manner as East and West Germany was once, or North and South Korea and India and Pakistan are today. Not in the distant past, or earlier, these were one people, one nation with one language, culture and customs. Politics does make for strange bedfellows and today we have countries split right down the middle on flimsy grounds.

Time and again, with alarming regularity, we see Iran baring its fangs at the US. In a milder manner, it does so at its neighbouring countries too. One wonders if this is a case of bravado or if they actually mean business. Iran well knows that if it does not safeguard its natural oil reserves that are coveted by the superpowers, it could well be annihilated and absorbed by the conqueror. The quality of its oil is among the best in the world. Though used by heating oil suppliers too, it is among the most coveted. They realise that past history from the time we know could well be erased and rewritten if the whims of a few men in a different land were to be given in to. To safeguard its interests, Iran has slowly and surely taken the necessary precautions. Its survival is more than getting even; it’s the history of mankind being rewritten all over again. As long as it does not go the autocratic way, there will be someone who will stand up to the bully.

And it is not for nothing that it was the cradle of civilisation. The pride, or some may claim insolence, is well deserved as long as it manages to strike a balance and stop greed from having its way.

The Americans, Brits and Germans did it first, then the Japs joined followed by Koreans and Chinese. These were generalized as the most geeky nations simply because the youth there is among the first social groups to get extremely attracted to computer since and eventually lead to transformation of the computer production market. No the Indians are coming - the next geek nation and the next rising technology superpower.

Why India? In India, there are currently more than a thousands courses offered in computer engineering, software design and production, hardware engineering and so on. Courses oriented in gaming production are also beginning to become more and more popular. The youth is getting more and more aware of computer sciences and computer technologies and geeks around the country rise in numbers just like bacteria in warm waters.

But can India provide the environment for becoming the next superpower in technology development? The answer is yet unclear as the country cannot even offer a good and stable business loan to companies willing to engage in such activity - financial instability still reigns over the country and its business sectors. Nevertheless, many of the country’s leading businessmen are starting to explore this brand new sector by importing more financial resource in research and development of facilities to accommodate any future specialists willing to develop computer technologies. And such are definitely getting ready as the country is now offering a full range of university and specialized courses for people interested in the area. With so many Indians getting education abroad, it is clear that the time has come for another geek nation to shine and the oriental country is the exact location of a future tech evolution.

Advertisers have always loved radio services. Radio listeners have been the most suitable audience for low budget ads and advertising has generated quite a lot of revenue only by relying on radio - in the car, on the way home, on the phone or in the bar. However, recently, the US based Pandora Media research company have concluded that the current popularity of mobile browsing and extremely flexible mobile services have led to a significant decrease in the availability of radio owners to advertise products for money.

Be it London teaching jobs or cleaning materials from China, radio has served well for these purposes. The radio ads in the US amounted to some 40% of the revenue generated from advertisement in the 1980s. However, it popularity decreased to only 20% when internet services spread rapidly around the globe. Nevertheless, people were still keen on radio in their cars, or were attracted to the ads during the smoke breaks at work.

But this tendency is disappearing again. Mobile browsing and services such as iTunes, Ovi Store and Android Market offer exclusive media to its customers - instant download of music, videos and news. Thus online TV on phones and media files distributed by service providers reduced to a minimum the popularity of the radio services. More advertisers are now focused on spreading ads over the mobile web, in mobile games or through the mobile direct-streaming TV.

Pandora Media indicates that this might result in the shut down of many radio services and, additionally, to inability of radio owners to realize profit from product popularity.

Finally, the long legal battle between world’s largest mobile device producers - Apple and Nokia is over. The Finnish company claimed that Apple, with the production of the iPhone and iPad has violated over 10 patents held by Nokia. The legal actions, brought up by Nokia, are finally over without a court’s decision. The two parties agreed upon the dispute with Apple admitting its wrong and agreeing to pay Nokia royalties and patent fees.

Such a dispute comes to an end after quite a lot of speculations. The advanced iPhone technology, that allows you to have even the latest UK teaching jobs lists at your disposal any time you decide you are a job seeker, is officially property of Nokia. However, the giant has no intentions to disrupt the production of its major competitor - rather, Apple joins the huge patent family of the Finnish company and becomes a payee for Nokia’s fund.

The lawsuit, however, might have come up with a different result - this is unknown as both parties agreed to undertake alternative court techniques to reach an agreement. The amount of money the California-based touch devices giant would pay Nokia is unknown as both parties refused to name any sums due to the Finnish company. However, the end of the dispute indicates that both companies are finally acting with reason rather than competition hatred and sales ambitions.

For Nokia, this is a good new start. The company hopes for an increase in the value of its shares, in corporate expansion due to increased future interest and for better market position. Being supported by the agreement, the company is now looking forward to the release of its brand new, Windows-supporting mobile device due in 2012.

People must be often wondering which one is the most heavily fortified border in the world and which is the place that suffers from most of separation. And while these places are not like the Canadian-US border where people can even claim Personal Injury Trusts Compensation if they get even questioned, the Indian-Pakistani border remains one of the most disputed areas in the world.

A recent report by the Economist reveals some quite interesting facts about the border. In fact, the two countries are fighting over a glacier - which country should have the piece of ice in question. However, the problem is quite deeper and the glacier is just the spark that would initiate the fire between the two countries. The problems the two places have had relate to religious separation, intolerance, non-complience with each other. Culturally, the two countries are more related than separated - dresscode, traditional stories, customs - these all match th description of both Pakistanis and Indians. However, what they do not agree on is religion. This itself led to hundreds of thousands of people killed on both sides and more people injured than any other conflict after the WWII.

But the border still remains quite more interesting. Thousands of soldiers continue to patrol the border on both sides. Military machinery is stored which is enough to maintain war actions for at least several years. The war power of both countries is constantly increasing being motivated exactly by the conflict between the these two not so loving neighbours.

This still remains the most controversial border in the whole world with two nations that have nothing more to share and still need to somehow fight and continue their separation rather than cooperation that might lead to a safer Asia.

After a series of considerations on EU policies and strategies on how to boost the Euro zone economies, France and Germany are finally acting under the mutual relationships trade treaties and not under the umbrella of the European Union. The two countries are considering a vast and expansive operations in the sphere of telecommunications in order to reduce the prices of the communications services and to save up money to be inputted in the development of future technology of communications.

The two countries have generally been in good relationships. And while the UK is an international player with less dominance in the EU, simply because of its reluctance to obey common European rules, the other two countries are the first economies on the continent. Instead of cooperating with them, the UK picked up a road of international interactions excluding these major players. However, France and Germany are now giving the Brits a lesson on how easy it is to cooperate and how many the benefits might be.

The German an French Telecoms would purchase telecommunication equipment from countries like China and Taiwan jointly. The reason is simple - buying twice the amount you would have initially bought would bring you an amazing discount that the two countries can later invest in dealing with their own matters. On the face of an Euro Crisis, the two players need to attract capital and not to lose it. These were the words of a person who would arrange the deal for both countries. Germany and France are large profiters from car industry - even their cars for sale in Lebanon are among the top goods being purchased. This is the reason way, according to the words of a German specialist, the joint operation would be quite beneficial for both sides - more money to invest in automobile industry would be available.

Iranian President has issued a statement condemning the Bahraini forces for using power against Shias in the country. The majority of Iranian population are Shia Muslims and they support the causes initiated by Shia minority Muslims in Bahrain.
Bahraini people have longed feared Iranian invasion and influence in the country. Iran has not only once shown its teeth to the Gulf countries and countries like Bahrain and Saudi Arabia have been threatened several times by Iran. However, the recent developments in the Middle East caused unrest by Shia Muslims who have been mistreated in Bahrain.
They claim that this has nothing to do with red diesel prices or social toleration - the problems come from government that suppresses Shia population in the country fearing that these people might establish close connections with Iran and thus undermine the security of Bahrain in relation to the Iranian threat. Now statement coming from the Iranian authorities might initiate even further concerns for the Bahraini government. They have already requested Saudi help in order to put down the tension in the country and their neighbours provided them with fresh troops and equipment. However, the threat from Iran is spreading like a disease in these desperate days.
The Bahraini protesters deny their protests to have anything to do with Iran. They continue to press on the fact that they are Bahraini and this is their country - their religious orientation cannot strike down their national identity and the people continue to request reconsiderations in the way they are treated by the government of Bahrain.

The so called Banking institutions seem to have broken the very principles they were made for. Keeping your money safe was not really on their minds in modern banking. As demonstrated in 2008, things haven’t been any good for anyone.

For basic information, here is what happens - when your deposit your money in a bank, the bank never opens a special box for you under you name and lock it somewhere safe where no one can reach it. To make maximum profits, this what they do- your money (without your permission) is mobilised to finance investments made by the bank. Ever though if you’d go on your online banking website and check your balance, it will be the same but its actually isn’t there. Therefore with positive returns on investments made by banks, the banks are more than able to pay you back as well as invest elsewhere.

You may ask what’s wrong with it as the banks pay you back on time and in full. But the problem is if one day everybody rushes to the bank to withdraw their money all at once, not everyone will get their money. Also, there is a chance that an investment made by the bank might go bad, they will drag you down with them. Before these investments are made, your permission is not asked. The secret bank society in Basil has fail to do what they were made to do. It just felt like their were a bunch of bankers and regulators who meet together and watched fosters tv the whole day.

This failure of regulation, a regulation which could have acted like a sponge in a situation where a bank would go into debt, was never in place. There was nothing to stop them, no safety barrier.

The state of Florida is a mecca for tourism with its vast array of activities and attractions such as miles of beaches, outstanding landscapes, theme parks, golf courses, forests and rivers. When one chooses to vacation in Florida, he or she must naturally consider accommodations.

After spending a day on a golf course, at the beach, or visiting a theme park, it is essential to have a comfortable place to rest and relax. This is especially true if one is traveling with children, as youngsters need ample space to run and play. Crowded spaces can make them irritated and cranky, however, a villa featuring several spacious bedrooms, as well as a kitchen, living room, swimming pool and yard, provides an atmosphere of tranquility that will be enjoyed by everyone in the party.

Renting a Florida villa is not only beneficial due to the space and privacy it provides, but the majority of such villas are situated close to primary tourist attractions such as theme parks and popular beaches. This makes the vacation not only luxurious, but highly convenient as well. Many of the villa rentals also offer shuttle services to locations such as Disney World, eliminating the need for a rent-a-car.

Villas in Florida are plentiful, and more of these luxurious accommodations are being built each year. This is because competition is fierce between villa owners, which creates a wonderful situation for tourists. With each villa owner or rental company trying to outdo each other, tourists are likely to find tremendous bargains, as well as extra fringe benefits with regard to their Florida villa vacation. Vacationers can search online or visit a local travel agency to make arrangements for their rental. Whichever option a person chooses, he or she is certain to find a that a villa exists to suit every budget and lifestyle.
